At the Sighthound Social, we put our love for hounds and their owners into all that we do.
A Day in the Life of your Hound
Our day is structured around the following events.
8:00 - 9:30
Check - In
While we wait for our guests to arrive we relax with coffee (for us) and any breakfast required for your hound. We introduce the daycare hounds to our boarding hound(s) as they arrive and make an assessment of any potential issues, and fill out our days register.
9:30 - 10:30
Morning Walk
It's off out for a walk along the canal or down into the Kelvin Walkway, as we let the hounds get to know each other with a bit more space, and enjoy some sniffs and fresh air.
11:00 - 12:00
Morning Enrichment
We load up some Kongs and toys with training treats, get the snuffle mats out, and let your hound have a bit of a play. They are encouraged to play one on one as well as with the other guests. If the weather is good we sometimes do this in our enclosed garden.
12:00 - 14:00
Lunch and Comfort Breaks
After any lunch required we head out for a short ten minute comfort break before the hounds retire for a bit of a nap after their busy morning. Comfoting music and time out space is available for our sleep aggressive pals.
15:00 - 16:00
Afternoon Walk
A good walk around the West End to set them up for a nap before check out begins. Plenty of sniffs encouraged, and maybe a pupaccino!
16:00 - 18:00
Check - Out
While the hounds check out we sort out any dinner required, and write their report cards for the day. The hounds can use this time as they wish while Mum and Dad are on the way!
